ChalkKit

Privacy Policy · last updated 26 September 2026

Summary

ChalkKit does not collect, transmit, sell, track or share any personal data. There is no account, no server, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Class lists and student names are stored only on your device, and every tool works entirely offline.

Information the app collects

None. ChalkKit does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location or any other personal information, and it has no sign-up or login of any kind.

The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or attribution software, no social media components, no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. It does not build an advertising profile, and it does not track you across apps or websites.

Information stored on your device

So your tools are ready the next time you open the app, ChalkKit saves a small amount of information inside its own storage area on your device:

A quick list pasted into the Picker or Groups without saving a class is kept in memory for that session only and is not written to storage.

This information never leaves your device. It is not transmitted anywhere, and no one, including the developer, can see it. Deleting a class removes its names immediately; deleting the app removes everything.

Speech

If you turn on Speak picked names, the app reads names aloud using the speech synthesizer built into iOS, on the device. Nothing is sent to a server to do this.

Internet access and links to other resources

ChalkKit makes no network requests of its own. All tools, settings and class lists work with no connection.

The Settings screen (and one row on Home) offers optional links to other resources for teachers by the same developer: the Classeem website, and the App Store pages for the Worksheet Studio and BookNest apps. Nothing is loaded until you tap a link. A website opens in an in-app Safari view and an App Store page opens in the system App Store sheet; from that point on, Apple's and the website's own privacy policies apply. The links carry only a fixed campaign label so the developer can tell that a visit came from ChalkKit; they contain no device identifier and nothing about you.

Children's privacy

ChalkKit is a tool for teachers. It collects no personal information from anyone. Student names a teacher enters stay on the teacher's device and are never transmitted. There is no account, no chat or messaging, no user-generated content shared with anyone, no social features and no advertising.

Device backups

If you back up your device using iCloud Backup or a computer, the app's saved data may be included in that backup, in the same way as other app data. Those backups are made and controlled by you through Apple's services, under Apple's privacy policy. The developer has no access to them.

Data retention and deletion

Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is no stored copy of your information to request access to, correct or delete. Deleting a class in My Classes removes its names at once; deleting ChalkKit from your device removes everything it has saved.

Changes to this policy

If the app's behaviour changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Material changes will also be reflected in the App Store privacy details for the app.
